Our commitment
SearchQuik is a Windows desktop app. We aim to follow Microsoft Store accessibility expectations and WCAG-aligned contrast for text.
Keyboard
Alt+Space opens search. Escape or click away closes the search window. Enter opens the selected result. Arrow keys move the result list. Ctrl+1 through Ctrl+6 switch All, Files, Apps, Clipboard, Recent, and Calculator. Ctrl+L shows the library window. Tab moves between controls. The Back button shrinks search results to the pill; Escape still dismisses search.
Display and contrast
SearchQuik follows Windows light and dark theme. Text is sized for desktop reading. You can use Windows Settings for text size, contrast themes, and Magnifier.
Screen readers
Controls expose names through Windows UI Automation (for example Narrator). Search results, navigation, and Settings toggles should be reachable without a mouse. If something is unlabeled, tell us via support.
Motion
The library UI uses little animation. Windows “Animation effects” off is respected by the system for many controls.
Known limits
The floating search bar is a compact always-on-top window. Some screen-reader flows work better from the library window. Video preview uses the system media control.
